At The Summit, we believe the Bible is God's inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word. It is our foundation for faith, our guide for daily living, and the final authority for everything we believe, teach, and practice. We are not called to reshape God's truth to fit our culture. We are called to faithfully proclaim it with both conviction and grace.
Our desire is not simply to fill minds with knowledge but to see lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe every person is created in the image of God, separated from Him by sin, and in need of the saving grace found only through Jesus Christ. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, God has made a way for sinners to be forgiven, reconciled to Himself, and made new.
Because Scripture is our authority, we seek to preach God's Word faithfully, worship Christ wholeheartedly, love one another genuinely, and make disciples who obey everything Jesus has commanded. While the world searches for changing answers, we find lasting hope in the unchanging truth of God's Word.
Our beliefs are not built upon tradition, personal preference, or popular opinion. They are rooted in the eternal truth of Scripture and centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Below you will find a summary of the foundational beliefs that guide our church, shape our ministry, and point us to the hope found in Christ alone.
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
The following statement summarizes the biblical convictions that guide our teaching, shape our ministry, and direct our mission. While no human statement can replace the authority of Scripture, we believe these doctrines faithfully reflect the teaching of God's Word. Our desire is to know Christ, obey His Word, and make disciples who do the same.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is God's complete revelation to humanity and the final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living. Every teaching, ministry, and decision of this church is to be measured by the truth of Scripture.
God
We believe there is one living and true God who exists eternally in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in deity, glory, power, and majesty, yet are one God, worthy of all worship, honor, and obedience.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed mighty works, died on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will one day return personally and visibly to establish His Kingdom.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively works to convict the world of sin, regenerate those who believe, indwell every Christian, empower believers for holy living and service, produce spiritual fruit, and equip the church through spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ.
Humanity
We believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth. Humanity was created to know, worship, and glorify God, yet all people have fallen into sin and are separated from Him apart from His saving grace.
Sin
We believe all people are sinners by nature and by choice. Because of sin, humanity stands guilty before a holy God and is incapable of earning salvation through good works, religious activity, or personal effort.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by God's grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Those who genuinely repent of their sins and trust in Christ are forgiven, declared righteous before God, adopted into His family, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and given the gift of eternal life. Salvation results in a transformed life that increasingly reflects the character of Christ.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body and bride of Christ, composed of all true believers. We also believe God has established local churches where believers gather for worship, biblical teaching, fellowship, prayer, the ordinances, mutual encouragement, and the making of disciples. Christ alone is the Head of His Church.
Church Leadership
We believe Christ has entrusted the spiritual oversight of the local church to biblically qualified elders (also called pastors or shepherds), who are called to faithfully teach God's Word, shepherd His people, and lead by humble example. We believe the office of elder/pastor is reserved for qualified men as taught in Scripture, while men and women alike are called to faithfully use their spiritual gifts in serving Christ and advancing His Kingdom.
The Ordinances
We believe the Lord has given two ordinances to His Church: believer's baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is an outward testimony of a believer's identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord's Supper is a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice and a proclamation of His death until He returns.
Discipleship
We believe every follower of Jesus Christ is called to grow in spiritual maturity through the study of God's Word, prayer, fellowship, obedience, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Every believer is commissioned to make disciples, helping others know Christ, grow in their faith, and faithfully live out the Gospel.
Marriage, Family, and Human Sexuality
We believe God created humanity as male and female in His image. We believe marriage is God's covenant design, uniting one man and one woman for life, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His Church. We are committed to speaking the truth in love, extending grace to all people, and calling every person to find hope, forgiveness, and new life in Jesus Christ.
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will personally, visibly, and gloriously return to judge the living and the dead, fully establish His Kingdom, and fulfill all of God's promises. This truth motivates us to live holy lives, faithfully proclaim the Gospel, and eagerly await His appearing.
Eternity
We believe every person will exist eternally. Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will enjoy everlasting life in the presence of God in the new heaven and new earth. Those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from God under His righteous judgment.
Our Commitment
We are committed to faithfully proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, loving one another, serving our community, and exalting Jesus Christ in all that we do. We believe God's truth never changes, His Gospel remains the only hope for the world, and His Church exists to glorify Him until Christ returns.

At The Summit, we believe sound doctrine should shape the way we worship, love one another, raise our families, serve our neighbors, and make disciples. Our goal is not simply to know more about God, but to know Him more deeply and faithfully follow Jesus every day.
As we grow in the knowledge of God's Word, our desire is to become more like Christ, live by the power of the Holy Spirit, and point others to the hope found in the Gospel.

- Do I regularly study Scripture and allow it to shape my decisions?
- Am I living as a disciple of Jesus who is helping others follow Him?
- If someone observed my life, would they see evidence that I belong to Christ?
